Figuring out metaphors

     John R. Searle is saying to interpret metaphors you have to look beyond the literal meaning in order to figure out what the speaker realy means. Searle says some metaphors are easier to interpret than others. Metaphors can be used to better convey the author's feelings. Metaphor also help explain situations that there are no words to explain.
