Interview with August Wilson

During the interview Wilson highlights the short-comings of African Americans, but never directly blames any one thing. By not blaming anyone Wilson implicitly sends a message saying it does not matter what cause this problem we have to find a way to fix it. He speak about the lack of a place in society for blacks, and he touches on how this leads many African-Americans being institutionalized whether it be in the army, penitentiary, or the black church.
Wilson seems focused on the betterment of black society. It is obvious he wants black to widen their horizon and have more options in life.
